Casual mode disables mana regeneration for magic users making it absurdly hard for mages in the early game (you have to go back to the inn every five seconds and use up all your gold after using up all your mana). I'm sure there are people who can play through this game without any problems but I was not one of them. You might say, well that's because you suck at the game and I can't argue with that. Story mode is laughably easy which it should be but casual mode the next difficulty is actually hard. I should probably say something about the difficulty because this game has one of the most unbalanced difficulty settings I've seen. If you like mindlessly killing monsters this might be the game for you. I personally might dislike the combat but I could see someone coming home from a long day at work and jumping on this game to mindlessly bash zombies. It's ugly, the music is terrible, and the combat isn't good so why am i recommending it? This game is huge, has tons of quests, and it cost me like five dollars. Kiting in most battles is impossible and meat shields like summons and companions don't last very long this pretty much forces you to become a melee class. Why is the combat so bad? The enemies tend to be faster than you and ranged combat has a delay so by the time you make a single shot the enemy is in your face and hitting you. It has recycled assets like rpg maker music, It has clunky combat, and the ranged combat is so bad that it's almost unplayable. Exiled Kingdoms is an ugly top down open world rpg.
